Big Win for Jefferson County Democrats!

Over 30 committee members represented Jefferson County at the DNC Delegate Selection meeting in Little Rock March 8th.

Being elected a delegate to the National Convention is an honor, privilege and darn near a miracle considering how few of the coveted spots are available. For a county to send a delegate is quite a coup so you should be very proud of your Jefferson County Democrats. We were able to see not ONE, not TWO but THREE of our members elected.

Congratulations to Rep. Stephanie Flowers and Mayor Carl Redus, Jr. of Pine Bluff and Brandon Robinson of Wabbaseka on the honor of nominating our next nominee for President of the United States this summer in Denver, CO.

Note- This is the 3rd consecutive National Convention for Jefferson County to send at least 2 delegates and a new record with 3.

STATE DEMOCRATIC PARTY NEWS & EVENTS

SECOND QUARTER STATE AND EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETINGS

The next DPA state and executive committee meetings will be in Jonesboro on Saturday, May 30, at the Holiday Inn. We have a block of hotel rooms at the Holiday Inn at the rate of $80.99/night plus tax and fees. Please call the hotel directly to make your reservation at (870) 935-2030. The deadline to make your reservation is Sunday, May 17. The Holiday Inn is located at 3006 South Caraway Road, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.

We plan to have a reception on Friday night, and the Senior Democrats of Arkansas will hold a coffee and regular business meeting in the morning prior to the State and Executive Committee meetings. We will share more information as it develops.

Mark your calendars - The third and fourth quarter state and executive committee meetings will be held in Little Rock on Saturday, July 25, and Saturday, December 5 at locations to be announced.
